Bowie & Iman at Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy - David and Iman were guests at the Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, last night.  The Metropolitan Museum of Art hosted it's annual Costume Institute Gala with Honorary Chair Giorgio Armani and Co-Chairs George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Anna Wintour.

The June issue of UNCUT magazine has a Bowie cover and a large feature, within which the magazine attempts to identify David Bowie's thirty greatest songs via the opinions of thirty music world luminaries. It's an impressive list of contributors, from David's own contemporaries such as Jimmy Page and Keith Richards, via chubby little losers like Ricky Gervais, to relative new boys such as Alex Turner.

WORLD TOUR HAS BEGAN IN OCTOBER, 2003

  David Bowie embarked on his most extensive tour in more than a decade with the A Reality world tour, which has began in Oct. 7 in Copenhagen and hit Europe, North America, Australia, and Japan before wrapping in March 2004, Billboard has learned.

Bowie, who was able to leave the clinic early this week (july 5th), is now convalescing with his family and hopes to start work next month. Said Bowie, "I'm so pissed off because the last 10 months of this tour have been so fucking fantastic. Can't wait to be fully recovered and get back to work again. I tell you what, though, I won't be writing a song about this one."

David Bowie emerged from his New York apartment today for the first time since recovering from an emergency heart operation.

The 57-year-old singer walked alone around the streets of the Chinatown district and shook hands with shoppers who congratulated him on his speedy recovery only one month after lifesaving surgery.
